TESTIMONIALS

Business education has
always seemed very difficult. I had to drop the subject in Form 2. Then
came Junior Achievement and now my dream of becoming a business manager
has become revived. I am learning a lot about management and business
transactions as the Advertising Manager of the JA Company at my school.
Not only are my dreams coming true, but I am also utilizing my art
talent at this spot. Thanks JA.

The Junior Achievement
lessons have helped me to be more open minded and to look at situations
from different angles and perspectives. JA wants to bring out the best
in people by showing them and instilling confidence in pupils to take up
the challenge and enhance talents. We can never know how our future will
turn out to be and what we expect to find. As one of the few
organisations that still fight for young people, I urge Junior
Achievement to continue giving hope and steering us in the right
direction

A very exciting feature
of the Leadership Programme was the fundraising activity in aid of a
children's home. The whole process involved a lot of organizing and team
work. It showed me qualities in my classmates that I never knew they
had.
This programme has taught
me to always have integrity, commitment and a vision. I also learned
that leaders are not born with skills but acquire them. I hope that one
day I too will be a Junior Achievement Volunteer.

For many years I wanted
to give something back to the society without too much strain
financially and still get satisfied. JA programmes fit in well for me. I
have received more than I expected, learning with the students. Helping
the young people view life in a positive way has satisfied me
tremendously. Seeing the usual young restless people wait eagerly to get
more, urges me to continue with the programme.
Empowering the young
leaders with listening skills and seeing it work gives me a lot of joy
because I can see wonderful understanding leaders of tomorrow. In this
programme you give and receive.

I have been a volunteer
with Junior achievement for nine months and while I expected the giving
to be one sided-me to them, I have been surprised to experience a
balanced situation where I am gaining even more than I am giving. Junior
Achievement classes are just the right forums for me to naturally work
on my communication and presentation skills while helping to shape the
future of our youth. It gives me great satisfaction to be useful,
helpful and giving without attaching a direct monetary gain. Junior
Achievement is affordable; all I need is time and commitment and I can
afford both. If you are out there thinking whether or not to volunteer,
you are missing the action. Kiumbura Githinji
